I laughed so fucking hard. We don’t want her.

I wanna address this comment because it’s common of white people to say about each other when their people act up. And lemme just say I’m not really talking about an individual, including the one I reblogged this from, but as a lesson in how whiteness seeps into places sometimes without realizing.

In essence, I get what this kind of comment is saying. It’s a joke, haha, we rebuke this person, etc etc. I get that. However. This person IS yours. White people are far too well known for denying people in their ranks who do not fall in line.

For example, the Christian blond blue eyed guy who hurt so many people. SO many white Christians denied him as a Christian, even as they lump all Muslims together for the acts of few.

When you’re part of the privileged group and want to actively help, you really need to stop with that. A joke is fine, but collect that person. You don’t deal with racism on a daily basis, so you should have more energy than PoC have to educate your fellow white people. Take that energy and DO it. Snark with us on the side if you want, but don’t just watch us handle it while you keep your hands clean.
